Season 1
Season One features women of color who, like Rhiannon herself, are dynamic and accomplished musicians and songwriters. They have forged unconventional paths to find their voices, pushing through establishment barriers to leverage the power of new media platforms and reach new audiences in the U.S. and around the world.
Season 2
Pulitzer Prize and Grammy winner Rhiannon Giddens is also artistic director of Silkroad, the groundbreaking international musical ensemble. For this second season, she hosts outstanding guest artists who have been touring with her as part of Silkroad’s “American Railroad” project, celebrating the musical traditions of the people who built America’s transcontinental railroad and those whose lives were transformed by it.
Season 3
Season 3 of "My Music with Rhiannon Giddens” accompanies North Carolina's celebrated native daughter Rhiannon Giddens around her adopted home country of Ireland as she interviews and performs with some outstanding current stars of Irish traditional music. Season 3 guests include Róisín Elsafty, Loah, Enda Scahill, Emer Mayock, Niwel Tsumbu and Karan Casey.
