The latest minor celebrity to make the crossover to porn is Riri Nanatsumori, who previously worked under the name Reika Matsumoto (松本鈴香). Born in 1995 and blessed with an F-cup bust, Riri Nanatsumori is half-Japanese, half-Filipino. Along with the relatively recent porn debut of Japanese-Portuguese performer Karen Ishida, there is growing demand for so-called “haafu” AV idols. She built up a career as Reika Matsumoto initially as a model for the magazine CHOKi CHOKi and as a host of a music TV show. She changed her professional name in July when she switched to a new agency. Her adult video debut (SSNI00854) is set for release from top JAV production company S1 on August 19. It has already reached the top rank in pre-sales on FANZA (as DMM’s porn shop is now known). While Riri was not exactly a major celebrity with a million fans waiting to lap up her every career move, no doubt the preview images of this slender and graceful beauty have successfully persuaded people that this AV release is a serious event in the porn calendar.
