Koel Mallick (born Rukmini Mallick on 28 April 1982), is an Indian actress known for her work in Bengali cinema. Over the years, she has received several honors including a Filmfare Award Bangla, two BFJA Awards, and an Anandalok Puraskar. In 2023, she was conferred the Mahanayak Samman, a prestigious recognition awarded by the Government of West Bengal. She made her film debut with the commercially successful Nater Guru (2003) and gained wider recognition through roles in films such as Shubhodrishti (2005), Mon Mane Na (2008), Premer Kahini (2008), 100% Love (2012), and Rangbaaz (2013). Known for her presence in popular romantic entertainers and box-office successes, she has also explored genres like thrillers , black comedy and family dramas, establishing herself as one of the leading stars of the Bengali film industry.
