He was born in Agios Lavrentios Magnesia in 1911. He studied at the Drama School of the Art Theater of Karolos Koun. He first appeared in the theater in 1936, while in the cinema in 1948 in the film "The Germans are back". He was the most prolific actor of Greek cinema (followed by Nasos Kedrakas and Giorgos Velentzas), as he acted in 195 films during the 25 years (1948-1973). He was the wife of Frosos Kokkola, also an actress and singer of folk songs. He died on 16 Sep 1978 in Seattle (United States of America) and was buried in Rafina on 19 Sep 1978.
