I like the way the title of this can be read in a couple of different ways, and that each differing emphasis could convey a completely different meaning. A real monkey is being groomed for what it thinks is a trip. To ease it's nerves it has been introduced to a sort of mother figure, but as we see on a few occasions that has a detachable head! With newscast footage of the moon landing peppering the feature, we come to the conclusion that our furry friend is to be sent into space - either that or possibly never leave a laboratory. I found this to be quite a poignant effort that looks at love and dependence in quite an emotionally charged fashion whilst contrasting those thoughts and images with far more sterile scientific ones that, for me at any rate, suggested the balance of thinking between life and progress might not neccessarily be aligned. It's more of an animated documentary, I thought, and it makes for quite a thought-provoking ten minutes.
